I've already informed Legolas about this, but incase anyone else is expieriencing this problem apart from sexy Legolas, this is a Vista related problem.

It affects the Open GL and you'll receive this for any old games that use that significantly. So for older games = death. Also, it seems not be effecting 2142, despite running on the same engine, I think due to the fact that 2142 is slightly newer and probably optimized for Vista, this is the key reason it wont be effected.

Systems include: A barrage O/S Expection Notice in your console.

According to punkbusted.com, there is no current fix for this at the moment, and reinstall / registry fixes don't work. Essentially this problem occurred for Legolas when he attempted to install his video drivers.

So for know, open a ticket with PB and wait. Don't install any new drivers either if your BF2 is functional.

type in your "search" box:

msconfig

then check at "services" if punkbusterA or B is enabled

if the PnkBstrA.exe is listed in your taskmanager, everything is fine and the kicks should be gone.

Dont mean to be picky, but thats for service communication failure.

Try restarting your computer and restarting the game. Give it a little time before you start the game again. Sometimes PunkBusterB.exe is a pain, and occasionally it likes to be funny when I open COD4 after either of the BF's and decides to not let me play the game and vice versa.
