Default blue screen of death

just upgraded my computer, now i get the blue screen of death every 20 minutes. Sometimes its for drivers other times its for memory something or rather. Any way to fix it without reinstalling windows?

Usually changing your hardware by a certain margin (even if only overclocking) will force a need to have XP reinstalled, to the best of my knowledge.

I'm assuming you've OC'ed your CPU ?

Nope changed a whole new motherboard and cpu. that would probably explain it then.

Either that or your RAM is suddenly bad/incompatible.

Just backup all the junk you want by setting the HDD with WinXP on it to a slave drive, hook it into another computer and copy the crap you want/need. Then set it to master again, go to new comp, reformat the drive from your BIOS and reinstall Windows.

Yes, not to mention, if your OS is legal, you'll need to buy a whole new copy, because your product key is locked to your previous motherboard.

But you don't have that kind of problem, do you now ?

I'm pretty sure only about 2/5ths of the people that have XP are legal.

you have to format your system. it can mess up your mobo if you started it without formatting ...

its about driver issues the mobo has different specs and different speeds the drivers are different ...

thats why i had to wait 4 more weeks to build my computer ( package said DOA but it was actually my fault >.>)
