Default blue screen of death

just upgraded my computer, now i get the blue screen of death every 20 minutes. Sometimes its for drivers other times its for memory something or rather. Any way to fix it without reinstalling windows?

Usually changing your hardware by a certain margin (even if only overclocking) will force a need to have XP reinstalled, to the best of my knowledge.

I'm assuming you've OC'ed your CPU ?

Yes, not to mention, if your OS is legal, you'll need to buy a whole new copy, because your product key is locked to your previous motherboard.

But you don't have that kind of problem, do you now ?

I'm pretty sure only about 2/5ths of the people that have XP are legal.

Thats only with Vista. I have two XP/MCE disks, probably used them on some seven or eight computers. No problems.

No, it goes with XP too, unless you're using a Corporate edition with several licences, in which case you're most likely using a cracked one, because I had the same thing...

Either that or your RAM is suddenly bad/incompatible.

Just backup all the junk you want by setting the HDD with WinXP on it to a slave drive, hook it into another computer and copy the crap you want/need. Then set it to master again, go to new comp, reformat the drive from your BIOS and reinstall Windows.
